My involvement with Paiute goes back to 1996 when, as a councilwoman, the city acquired the closed school and created a partnership with the non-profit Paiute Neighborhood Center. It was a visionary move which has provided social services, along with educational and recreational programs, to give a hand up and help improve the lives of many in our community. Partners for Paiute programs are facilitated with the aid of many area agencies. It is a terrific partnership. A vibrant Paiute neighborhood is important to the overall health of Scottsdale.
